Real Pumpkin Treats

It is almost Halloween which means we have carved pumpkins to be seen in another post. Now! Down to business. What does one do with the guts and seed of a carved pumpkin? Well my roommate is roasting the seeds, but I used the guts. I used the guts to make pumpkin bread and pumpkin juice. Both of these recipes come from my Unofficial Harry Potter Cook Book. I am so excited about this post because both turned out really delicious.

First of all, here are the ingredients.

Then to make a puree of the pumpkin I just put the guts in the blender. Do a little at a time. I use the puree for the bread and I strained the puree for the juice.

Tweaks
I didn't really follow the instructions in the cookbook, I just mixed everything together and made my own tweaks:
  • Change the confectioners sugar to brown sugar for the bread.
  • Add cinnamon and sugar to the juice.
  • Melt the butter to make it easier to mix for the bread (mix wet ingredients separate from dry)

I hope you enjoyed these minor instructions for my pumpkin treats and I hope it makes your fall delicious. Let me know what you thought in the comments below and don't forget to connect with Moonie-Mag Malan on social media.

Study Breaks: Summer

One last summer post before the cold really sets in. Some summer study breaks are on my mind.
Here's my list:

1. Lay out
Get a good book and a friend and head to the pool.
2. Take a walk
Go somewhere that is covered in green and enjoy it.
3. Play Volleyball
You don't have to play in the sand, but I love Volleyball in the summer.
4. Sit Outside
Soak in the warm air and the sunshine.
5. Bake
Take the time you have and do something silly and fun.

Fashion or Fun

Today I went to brunch with some friends and I am obsessed with my outfit. I thought I would share it with you.
