Disney Role: Lifeguard

GOOD NEWS: I have been accepted for a second time into the Disney College Program. So I will be posting a lot of reminiscing of my first program and a lot of what I will learn during my second one. This post is about Being a Lifeguard for Disney.

So here is what you can expect from being a lifeguard. You will have a swim test and you will have a 3-day training with Disney and then your days star.

You have on the job training for your location which can stem from the resorts to the water parks and if you work at a water park, you may not work every pool.

You will be required to wear the costume which is a red suit for girl and then red shorts and a white polo for girls. Shoes are either crocs, black sandals, or white tennis shoes.

Do Not Forget: your name tag, your whistle, your hat, and your sunglasses. You will also have a hip back, which will look like a red fanny pack. This gear that will be explained to you better when you get there.

I know that being a lifeguard can be scary, terrifying even, but everything will be okay. Trust me. Just do your job and watch your water and you will be fine. And don't forget to jump if you see anything that needs your attention. Take a deep breath and say a little prayer and you will be fine. Disney is all about safety and they will equip you with the knowledge that you need. Don't worry. YOU GOT THIS!

Every Pet Owner Should Know

I have recently inherited two dogs from my brother. Two very different dispositions and two very different types of breeds. One is a Jack-Russell and  Shih-Tzu mix and the other is a Pitt-Bull and Bassett Hound mix. One is an introvert if you can even classify a dog like that, and the other is a bit on the needy side. But regardless of the type of dog, you may own and their personalities, there are a few things every pet owner should know.

1. They need to be told "good-boy/girl" and "bad-boy/girl".
Say these for anything and everything. Pottying outside: "good-boy", pottying inside: "bad-boy". The more they hear what's good and what's bad, the quicker they learn and the better they will listen later.

2. Make sure they are well hydrated.
Always make sure that your pups have water to hydrate themselves.

3. They need love.
Not all the time but enough to know that they are doing something right. Believe me, it goes a long way.

4. They don't need too much love.
I know that puppies are cute, but if you overbear them, there is a good chance they will develop separation anxiety and that will be rough when you get a job and have to leave them for eight hours at a time.

5. They need socialized.
Dogs need to know what it's like to be around humans other than you as well as other dogs. Dog parks are good things

DIY Pedicure

I just gave myself a pedicure and my feet feel so good. Here's how you can give yourself a pedicure at home.

Supplies:

  1. Soap (any kind)
  2. Warm water (in a bucket or a bathtub)
  3. Nail clippers
  4. Nail Polish Remover
  5. Nail Polish
  6. Sugar Scrub (easy to make: two parts sugar one part water
  7. Lotion
Step 1:
Run the water and add some soap so that the water is sudsy.

Step 2:
Soak your feet a little bit and then remove any nail polish.

Step 3:
Clip your nails to the length and shape that you want. A nail file is also good here.

Step 4:
Scrub your feet with the sugar scrub.

Step 5:
Dry your feet and then apply some lotion.

Step 6:
Paint your nails with the color and then top coat.

Just relax and don't worry about doing anything within a time limit. Your feet will feel so much better after this pedicure. Let me know what you think of this process in the comments below. Thanks for reading!

Goodbye Auburn!

So I wrote a song to say goodbye to my time at Auburn. In this post is both the song and the compilation video of photos I have made for my channel to show what a wonderful senior year I have had! I hope you enjoy walking down memory lane with me!
